IRISS, Skills for Care and the Baring Foundation commissioned UK-wide research into the role of arts in the delivery of social care. In order to help bring the key messages to life I was commissioned to write, illustrate and produce an animation. Here, my images were skilfully brought together by the talented animator Karl Lawson. Including backing music by the fantastic learning disabled artist Lizzie Emeh, focusing on characters and stories rather than strategic language, this work has been described as “much loved” by staff, families and those who use services.
